You don't have
to navigate this

Tessera means a small tile which is placed alongside others to form something whole and luminous. Together we integrate the pieces of your past & present to create the mosaic of you, which can shine in the sun and withstand the rain.

I'm a licensed therapist specializing in trauma and anxiety, including structural dissociation, PTSD, complex PTSD, BPD, and OSDD. I have experience supporting chronic illness, the somatic symptoms of nervous system dysregulation, OCD, anxiety, life transitions, chronic stress and burn out. I support those working on meaning-making, living a purpose-driven life, and nurturing authentic creative expression. My approach is neurodiversity, queer and trans affirming, and culturally responsive. We will also work with attachment and relationships, fitting your tile into the mosaic of the larger scheme of things.

[03] — How we work

Modalities

01
TIST

Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), developed by Janina Fisher, weaves together mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, and somatic awareness for those carrying complex or early trauma. Rather than revisiting the past directly, TIST builds a relationship with the parts of you that still hold it — gently and at a pace that feels safe.

02
Brainspotting

Brainspotting uses fixed eye positions to locate and process trauma stored in the subcortical brain — beneath the reach of language and conscious thought. By holding a "brainspot," the brain's natural capacity to heal is activated, allowing deeply held pain to move and release at its own pace.

03
EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) uses bilateral stimulation — rhythmic side-to-side movement — to help the brain reprocess distressing memories. Originally developed for trauma, EMDR is now widely used for anxiety, grief, shame, and the experiences that feel stuck no matter how much we understand them.

04
Sensorimotor
Psychotherapy

Trauma lives in the body as much as the mind. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy integrates body-based awareness with emotional and cognitive processing — noticing posture, breath, sensation, and movement as windows into what words alone can't reach. The body becomes a resource, not just a record of what happened.

05
Coherence
Therapy

Coherence Therapy works from the understanding that symptoms make sense — that beneath anxiety, avoidance, or self-sabotage is an emotional logic formed to keep us safe. By surfacing and transforming these implicit learnings, change becomes not just intellectual but deeply felt and lasting.
